My love for Rockets and Space exploration
My love for Rockets and Space exploration
This is the first post on my series about model rockets, in which I would be sharing my experience with flying model rockets from scratch.
From a very young age, I had this extreme love for rockets, aeroplanes, and every flying object. Every child is born with curiosity and I believe every child is born with love for exploration and adventure, but somehow their love for these things fade away. I was somehow able to preserve my curiosity. The moon landings were the main reason for most of the Rocket enthusiasts to come to this field. Mine was the same. Along with the ISS and Mars rovers moon landings were the missions which spark my love and intrest for rockets and space exploration.
As far as I can remember I loved watching stars from our roof of our house. I didn't have a telescope to watch stars, but I always dreamt of having one. There were numerous occasions when I spotted satellites and asteroids, it was like the best feeling ever. Whenever I talked to my friend on phone I went up on our terrace, and I remember very clearly, it was the month of September 2020, while talking with him, I spotted an asteroid. It was the best one I ever seen. I had a green tail and also it lasted relatively longer. That was one of the moment's in my life I could never forget. Something we spotted a satellite togather. If he saw a satellite moving from his village, he would tell me the direction it was headed towards and I would spot the same satellite.
Space industry holds a great potential. There are still lot of things to explore. Asteroid mining is the is the part that I am personally very facinated by. I mean apart from the financial benifits, please try to imagine the consequences on our technology, the prise of elements like platinum, nickel lithium will drastically reduce, and this will take humanity to completely another level. I believe somehow this would also help the global warming. There will be less need to extract minerals from our mother earth bu damaging the environment, and also the most important problem with solar energy and all other renewable energy sources will be solved, which is the storage of excess energy during the peak times. And there still more advantages of asteroid mining. I will create a seperate blog gin future reguarding asteroid mining. I believe this is the most important area of Space industry on which leading exploration agencies should focus on.
Back to out topic, Model rocketery. It is basically designing and developing small rockets designed to reach low altitudes and be recovered by a variety of means. Activities like these help in building an interest in young minds about space exploration and it also helps teenagers aspiring to become a part of Rocket Industry to test their mechanical and engineering skills.
In upcomming blogs I will tak about the challenge I face during the designing and developing model rockets completely on my own. To whom I seek to help and what are the precautions I took befor launching model Rockets. If I wanted to give you advise about flying model rockets, I would say it is not easy task to do, although it is a fun activity, still one needs to be completely focused and determined to do this activity. Also it is very hard for a single person to fly rockets. There are a lot of areas to be taken care of before an actual flight, and the best way to do this is to have a team. Teamwork and integration of all the team members is the most importantly thing in Rocket science. I will end my first blog here and I'll continue with the model Rocketery in next blog.
